研究院介绍
上海交通大学医疗机器人研究院汇聚机器人和相关技术的最新进步,大力推动手术、康复和医院自动化领域的变革。由机器人领域的国际著名学者和Science Robotics的创刊主编杨广中教授担任创始人,带领研究院充分发挥上海在工程技术、基础科学研究和临床医学的独特优势,努力促进机器人科研、教育、技术开发与临床转化的发展。围绕肿瘤、心血管、神经退行性疾病等重大疾病的早期诊断和个性化治疗,研究院聚焦研发灵巧、智能和微创的医疗机器人技术。研究院的愿景是促进跨学科合作,加速研究成果的转化,培养专业人才和加强国际合作;目标是引领医疗机器人关键技术的创新研究,研发以机器人和人工智能技术为核心的新一代医疗装备、创建多学科人才培养和产业孵化基地,扶持创新机器人技术的临床转化。研究院与上海的多家高水平研究型医院开展合作研究,基于各医院的优势特色专科建立临床联合研究中心,携手促进临床转化。在面向泌尿、胸科、口腔与颌面疾病的医疗机器人以及基于软体外骨骼的辅助机器人等领域已经取得新技术突破。研究院致力于发展微纳机器人的新技术,集成了微米尺度的驱动、影像、感知和腔内治疗和药物递送等技术。研究院组建以杨广中院士为核心的高峰人才团队,开展纤微机器人的前沿技术研究和临床应用与转化。研究院与世界知名研究机构开展深入的学术交流和国际合作,组织国际会议、学术论坛(如“零号湾机器人大讲坛”)和医疗机器人竞赛。汇聚国际一流人才,研究院正在建设成为医疗机器人前沿研究的学者荟萃地、临床应用和产业化基础和应用研究的发明家集聚地。
Introduction to IMR @ SJTU
The Institute of Medical Robotics at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (IMR@SJTU) has been established to harness the latest advances in robotics and allied technologies to transform the future of surgery, rehabilitation and hospital automation. Its founder, Professor Guang-Zhong Yang, an internationally renowned scholar in robotics and the founding editor of Science Robotics, has led a concerted effort to promote robotics research, education, technological development and clinical translation by leveraging the unique engineering strength, basic science research and the strong clinical base of Shanghai. Committed to providing solutions for early diagnosis and personalised treatment of major illnesses such as cancer, cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases, the IMR@SJTU is focusing its research on the development of agile, intelligent, and minimally invasive medical robotics technologies. The vision of the IMR@SJTU is to promote cross-disciplinary collaboration to accelerate the translation of research results, develop new talents and forge international collaboration. It aims to drive novel, underpinning technologies in medical robotics and spearhead research innovation and development of new medical equipment with robotics and machine intelligence at its core. It is also building a multidisciplinary talent and business incubation base for aspiring young professionals,supporting bench-to-bedside transformation of new robotics technologies. With its mission to support clinical translation, the IMR@SJTU is partnering with leading teaching hospitals in Shanghai to establish joint research centres focussing on different clinicalspecialities. New breakthroughs are already emerging in the use of medical robots for urological, cardiopulmonary, oral and craniofacial diseases, as well as assistive robots based on soft exoskeletons. The Institute is also making significant inroads in the development of new micro-nano robotics technologies by integrating micro-actuation, imaging, sensing and endoluminal therapy and drug delivery. The Institute is also broadening its international collaboration through regular research exchange with world-renowned research institutions and organisation of international conferences, academic forums (e.g. the popular neoBay Robotics Forum) and competitions in medical robotics. It aims to be a global hub for scholars conducting cutting-edge research in medical robotics, as well as innovators who have the vision to drive both basic science and applied research towards successful clinical adoption and commercialization.

2024年是医疗机器人研究院成立的第六年,也是研究院发展期的收官之年,随着疫情雾霆的消散,我们得以全速前进,同时也迎来了新的机遇和挑战,在与国内外不同学科的研究人员紧密合作下,我们在2024年取得了卓越的成就,这些成果得益于上海一流医院强大的临床专业支持。研究院专注于三大核心研究领域:手术机器人、康复与辅助机器人、医院自动化与高通量机器人技术,建立了手术机器人、康复与辅助机器人、医院自动化与高通量机器人、微纳系统、感知与认知、智能复合材料、生物光子学、机器人视觉与影像导航、精密机电与制造、生物电子与脑机接口十大研究中心并持续产出优质科研成果。研究院在筹建期和发展期打下了良好的基础、取得了多项科研成就。在研究院突破期的开局之年,研究院的海内外年轻、跨学科交叉、复合型人才紧密合作,将在各自中心科研方向内深入研究,力争取得多项国际前沿成果。
医疗机器人研究院作为上海交通大学校级多学科交叉研究平台,致力于响应国家“以人民为中心全面推进健康中国建设”的科技发展方针,瞄准医疗机器人技术国际前沿研究方向,对接国家高端医疗器械装备产业发展战略需求。人工智能、智能传感等技术的快速发展与深度应用,为医疗机器人提供了强大的技术支持。我国医疗机器人产业快速发展,研究院依托上海临床优势,成立了强有力的医工交叉团队,结合机器人技术、生物医学工程、材料科学等多学科,推动了医疗机器人技术的深度融合与创新。
未来,随着医疗机器人技术不断成熟,团队将在更广泛的应用领域内持续发挥关键作用,秉承“引进海外人才,培育青年人才,凝聚原有人才”的宗旨,积极培养和引进优秀的科技人才,打造一支充满活力、具有国际视野的研发团队。通过关键核心技术的研发和转化,不断提升我国智能柔性机器人产业核心竞争力,对我国机器人行业的发展产生辐射和推进作用。我借此机会感谢您的坚定支持,通过共同努力,我相信研究院2025年在研究和成果转化方面将会是更辉煌的一年。

Welcome to IMR!
2024 marks an important milestone for our Institute – it celebrates the perfect ending of the development phase of IMR. With the shadow of the pandemic behind us, we are able to move full speed ahead without the hinderance of constant interruptions. Working closely with researchers across different disciplines both nationally and internationally, our staff and students have made remarkable achievements in 2024. Our success is supported by the strong clinical expertise of leading hospitals in Shanghai. The research and technological centres of the Institute cover micro-nano systems, perception and cognition, biophotonics, smart and composite materials, bioelectronics and brain-computer interface, robotic vision and image guidance, precision mechatronics, and microfabrication, as well as translational research in surgical robotics, hospital automation, and rehabilitation and assistive robotics.
Striving to provide a platform that both supports and cultivates the next generation scientists and engineers in medical robotics, the Institute is a university-wide multidisciplinary research platform of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. It supports the mission of "Healthy China" by spearheading innovation in medical robotics and allied technologies in both basic sciences research and engineering innovation. We are committed to promoting original research in medical robotics and related fields by fostering multidisciplinary collaboration while addressing unmet clinical needs.
We are extremely fortunate to have strong support from government at all levels, our national and international collaborators, and families and friends of our staff. As an annual tradition, I am proud to provide herewith our annual report, representing a snapshot of the work we do, the research and education environment we seek to provide, and the potential impact of our research that may transform the future of healthcare. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your unwavering support, and our staff and students for their dedication, perseverance, and teamwork.
